Ephesians 6:10-12
There are going to be times in your life when you need strength- when you're lying in the ICU, on your job, even sitting in church. The days ahead may not always be your best days. Sometimes things will try your patience and your strength. You have to be strong. When you come to present yourself to God, satan is right there with you. Give him no authority or credence but know that he exists. We cannot ignore it. Revelations 12:10b states "for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night." Satan goes to God day and night accusing the children of God. You're going to have to pray and be strong. God believes in everything in you. With everything we are battling in life, we have to be strong. He's going to equip you to be strong. Be strong in the power of The Lord. We try to fight the battles ourselves and that's when we get worn out. We're trying to do God's job. You need to step back and let God be God. When things are going wrong, go to God first. You can't take it to others. Keep yourself in the word of God day by day. Don't worry about tomorrow, God has today. You have to get to know God. Know who He is for yourself. Move further from your belief in God to having a knowledge of God. "...but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." (Daniel 11:32b). You have to know that your strength comes from The Lord. God is taking you places and he wants you to be prepared. So you're going to have to put on the full armor of God. Put on the breastplate of righteousness. You'll treat people right. You'll do right. You'll love right. Then you have to know what the Gospel is. You have to know the life, the death, the burial, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. All that He did, just for you. Put on the shield of faith. You're going to have to have faith. Believe God. Faith is the substance of things hope for and the evidence of things not seen. Put on the helmet of salvation. You have to be saved. Salvation is free. You don't have to pay the cost; Jesus has paid it. Also, you have to be able to pray. Everything that you're doing, God is there with you. In spite of what you're going through, you don't have to be afraid. You don't have to be ashamed. Be strong. He's taking care of you. Have courage and trust in God.
